The apartment’s open plan dining, kitchen and lounge area takes full advantage of natural light and fresh ocean breezes flowing seamlessly onto the sizeable second storey balcony equipped with Weber BBQ and dining table.

The modern kitchen is stocked with every appliance a holiday maker could possibly need for total convenience including the must haves; central air-con and heating (split systems in main living area + each of the 3 bedrooms), Wi-Fi, coffee machine and dishwasher, plus a Weber Family Q BBQ on the balcony to allow our guests to cook up a storm. The choice is then whether to dine indoors at the bar style table or outdoors, on the balcony which enjoys sea breezes and ocean glimpses from its second storey setting. For those who prefer to dine out, an easy 5 minute stroll will see you at the Caloundra Esplanade; home to Bulcock Beach’s popular cafe and restaurant strip or, take a 2 minute stroll via the back gate and you’ll reach Bulcock Street; home to Caloundra’s weekly street markets.

With a footprint of 150m2, the apartment sleeps up to 7 guests across its three generously sized bedrooms each with ceiling fans, screened windows and built in robes. The main room features a king size bed, the second is set up with a queen and the third bedroom has both a double and single bed.

For those not wanting to haul luggage up the stairs the building has a lift with direct access to the front door for our guests’ convenience as well as a carport space for 1 small car. For guests with larger cars, after unpacking your luggage there is the option to utilise a free street parking spot or park on the top storey of the transit centre (bus terminal) next door. Everything you need is within a few minutes’ walk so you can unpack your bags and never set foot in the car until the day you leave.

Sure to keep children of all ages entertained, indoors Seagate offers an internet enabled Smart TV with Netflix and Ultimate Fetch TV in the open plan living area and second Smart TV with Netflix in the master bedroom as well as a selection of board games, books and children’s toys. In the garage the owners have generously provided guests with use of 2 kayaks, a couple of boogie boards, an umbrella and beach toys for guest use along with a beach trolley to assist in the easy transportation of the essentials to the beach.

Caloundra is the southern-most town of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast just 90km north of Brisbane’s CBD. With everything you could possibly need just a few minutes’ walk from Seagate, the once sleepy beach town is now home to a bustling strip of cafés, restaurants and bars, year round street markets and a vibrant arts community. Connected by a coastal boardwalk, seven beaches comprise Caloundra’s coastline so as you can imagine, the ocean plays host to many of Caloundra’s boredom busters. One block from Seagate is Bulcock Beach. Patrolled for 9 months of the year this beach is popular with families for its warm paddling pools at low tide and adjoining Happy Valley Park, playground and BBQ’s. Less than 1km from Seagate is Kings Beach, known for its heritage listed bathing pavilion, rock pools, gentle beach break with protected swimming areas and $4m foreshore facility; a 25m sea water swimming pool and children’s wading pool with time release fountains.
